Desert Springs Student Council is the governing body of the student population. Two representatives are chosen from each of the Intermediate Homeroom classes. From there the Officers ar voted on by the Representative Assembly. President, Secretary, and Treasurer are sixth graders, while the Vice-President is a fifth grader. We sponsor monthly Spirit Days such as: Look-a-Like Day, Bling Day, Crazy Sock Day and Hawaiian Day. Student Council is also involved in Community Service activities every year. These activities have included Race for Life (Cancer Research) and Juvenile Diabetes.
Student Council meets the first Tuesday of each month at 8:15am.
New Student Council Officers were inducted into office on September 17, 2008 at the flag raising cerimony attended by the entire school.
